Paying for college can feel overwhelming, but we are here to help! Finding the money you need to help pay for school starts with the FAFSA â?? Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA is your first step to apply for grants, A+, scholarships, work study, and loans. Start on the road to financing your education today! No appointment is necessary, but you can register to reserve your seat. We encourage you to have the following items available to help complete your FAFSA: • FSA ID (and password) for you (and your parents, if you are a dependent student). If you do not remember your FSA ID or password, check out this video for help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIwnEbOXSGg. • Social Security Number and date of birth (and parents and spouse, if applicable). • Your Federal Income Tax Returns and W-2 forms (and for your parents, if you are a dependent student, and for your spouse, if you are married). For Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024, you will need these documents for tax year 2021. For Fall 2024, you will need these documents for tax year 2022. • Month and year you or your parents were married, separated, divorced or widowed. • Your alien registration number (if you are not a US Citizen).
Health Science Institute - Open House
HSI is hosting an open house to increase visibility of our institution and recruit potential students. There will be tours of the building and departments housed at HSI - Virtual Hospital, Nursing Skills Lab, Dental Sim Labs, Surgical Tech OR's, and more. We hope to also showcase WED and promote the multiple pathways of education.
On Campus - Campus Visit (Health Science Institute)

True-to-life simulation stations in this 190,000 sq. ft. building takes hands-on learning opportunities, clinical skill practice and patient care teamwork to the next level. Come take a walking tour at 3444 Broadway. (Tour approx. 1 hour). Programs Allied Health Programs • Coding Specialist • Dental Assistant • Health Information Management • Occupational Therapy Assistant • Physical Therapist Assistant • Radiologic Technologist • Surgical Technologist Nursing Programs • Practical Nursing (LPN) • LPN Bridge Program • Professional Nursing (RN) Directions: The entrance is on the 34th Terrace side. Turn west off Broadway onto 34th Terrace or 35th Street. Park in visitor parking located at the end of each block and the back of the building; you can also park along Broadway or 35th Street. Wait at the security desk located just inside the building entrance in the lobby for your tour guide. Tours start promptly. If you are late for the tour, please register for a different date. The Advanced Technical Skills Institute visit allows you to explore the variety of Applied Technology and Manufacturing careers. This facility located at 2944 Troost is home to Metropolitan Community College's building maintenance and construction, computer-integrated machining, HVAC, industrial technology and welding programs. Whether it is the technicians who keep our homes cool, the mechanics who keep our cars on the road, or the technicians that keep our factories and critical infrastructure running; we depend on professional technicians who have mastered the skills of their trade. At Metropolitan Community College, students in the Applied Technology & Manufacturing Pathway receive practical, hands-on training from instructors with real-world experience in state-of-the-art labs. You'll develop the skills you need for high-demand, high-paying careers in our region.
